This is an easy meal that is one of Richard’s favorites. Sometimes I use ziti, sometimes penne, this time I used shells.
1 lb of mozzarella cheese shredded
1.5 cups ricotta cheese
3/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
1 lb hot italian sausage cooked and sliced
1 lb ground beef browned and drained
1 quart of your favorite marinara sauce
1/4 tsp of crushed read pepper
1) Cook shells very al-dente as they will soak up a good deal of liquid.
2) Mix together shells, cheeses and meats and bake in a 350 oven for 1/2 hour.
3) Let stand about 10 minutes and serve
That’s it! We pair this with a great red wine and are in heaven.
